Msgr. Joseph A. Martin, M. Div., MA in Moral Theology, MS. Ed., BS Economics, Parochial Vicar, St. Patrick's, Yorktown Heights., N.Y. 10 years. Teacher of Religion at John F. Kennedy High School, served on the staff of the Office of Christian Family Life and Development working specifically with the Christian Family Movement and Marriage Encounter and Pre-Cana.
Completed two year course in Spiritual Direction offered by the Archdiocesan Office of Spiritual Development, attended the Institute of Ignatian Spirituality at Guelph, Ontario, studied Spirituality at Fordham University. Served as Director of Vocations for the Archdiocese of N. Y. for 2 years, Spiritual Director at St. Joseph's Seminary, Yonkers for 9 years, President of the Eastern Association of Spiritual Directors, Director of the Archdiocesan Parish Team for 6 years and appointed Pastor of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in September 1994. Msgr. Martin joins our St. James Parish Family with the permission of Cardinal Timothy Dolan on August 14, 2013. His position is Retired Priest in Residence.
